Dr. William L. West is the Principal Investigator, the Center for Drug Abuse Research (CDAR), funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). He is Emeritus Professor and Chair of the Dept. of Pharmacology. Not only has Dr. West been an instructor and Professor since the late 1940s, he has performed research in cellular and pharmacology/ endocrinology; metabolic developments of the embryo and various chemical and radiation impacts on cancer. He has written peer reviewed publications ranging selected potential environmental contaminants to pharmacology in medicine.
